Tomorrow night at 7:30 pm, The Young Dubliners will bring the 2016 Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks concert season to an electric finish! And next Friday, the Celtic rockers will head to Civic Center Park in Denver, Colo., to take part in Levitt Pavilion Denver’s 2016 preview concert series. These musical veterans are no strangers to Levitt stages, with past performances at Levitt Pavilion Arlington (2014), Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles (2014), and Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks (2011) under their belts!
This Los Angeles-based group has been rocking venues across the globe since 1988, when Dublin native Keith Roberts and former band member Paul O’Toole combined musical forces. Today the band is comprised of Roberts (lead vocals/guitar), Bob Boulding (guitar/vocals), Dave Ingraham (drums/percussion), Chas Waltz (violin/keyboard/harp/mandolin/vocals), and Brendan Holmes (bass/vocals). While the Irish influence on the band’s sound is undeniable, their lively repertoire fuses a wide range of genres. Roberts explains, “We’re made up of two from Dublin and three from America and that has…been the story of the band—blending the American rock with the Irish rock, and also traditional music…” Each band member’s unique musical background has shaped the group’s eclectic, high-energy sound.
