Levitt Arlington performers Pentatonix win at YouTube Music Awards!

Levitt Arlington concertgoers already know the amazing a cappella stylings of hometown favorites, Pentatonix. The group—Levitt Arlington performers in 2012 and 2013— won the third season of The Sing-Off, but it was a music video that helped them earn one of the first-ever YouTube Music Awards last night in New York City!

Earlier this year, Pentatonix teamed up with violinist and singer Lindsey Stirling to cover the Imagine Dragons track, “Radioactive,” turning the dubstep/rock hybrid into a captivating, classically-tinged anthem. The video racked up over 40 million (yes, 40 million!) views and earned them the first-ever YouTube Music Award for “Response of the Year.” And in case you’re wondering what “Response of the Year” means, it’s the award for the “best videos that remixed, covered, parodied or responded to an original song on YouTube.”

This is huge news for a band who are also releasing their third full-length album, PTX Vol. 2, tomorrow. Congrats, and we hope to see you for a third straight year in 2014!
