Help us transform more public spaces across America!

The national network of Levitt venues presents 300+ free concerts a year— but that’s just one part of our mission.

Passionate about creative placemaking, the Levitt program reclaims underused public spaces—like crime-ridden parks and neglected bandshells—and turns them into thriving music destinations for all.

Take Levitt SteelStacks. Once a part of Bethlehem Steel Corporation, it became a toxic brownfield once the plant shuttered in the early 2000s. Partnering with local stakeholders, Levitt Pavilions helped transform the site into a focal point of the ArtsQuest complex, and since opening in 2011, Levitt SteelStacks has breathed new life into a depressed part of Lehigh Valley.

Now a popular destination for summer entertainment, it’s almost unbelievable how the space has been revitalized. As Joseph Deegan, a former Bethlehem Steel worker, puts it: “I would never imagine that I’d be sitting in front of a blast furnace, on the grass, listening to music. Never in my lifetime.” Learn more about Joseph and his father, Bill, in this video from our Faces of Levitt series.

This holiday season, we’re asking for your support to help make transformations like Levitt SteelStacks happen across the country. Your gift to Levitt Pavilions helps us reclaim even more green spaces while building strong communities through the power of free, live music. And if you give before midnight tomorrow, your gift will be tax-deductible for 2014!
